Terms of Use

Last updated: November 2, 2026

1. Agreement

By using Food Compare (the "Service"), provided by Bravarb Technology LLC, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Food Compare ranks the nutrition of products you choose and names a recommended pick, using a published method (How the Nutrition Score works, in the app). Recommendations compare nutrition facts; they are general information, not medical, dietary or health advice, and do not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Check product labels yourself, especially for allergens, and talk to a health professional about your diet.

3. Accuracy, AI and allergens

Nutrition data comes from public databases (USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts), from label scans and from other users. Labels and product photos are read by artificial intelligence (AI), which can make mistakes. Products change and data can be wrong or out of date. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any data.

Allergen and diet alerts, including allergens you add yourself, are generated automatically from these databases and AI. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and they are not a substitute for reading the package. Always check the package before you eat or serve a product. Bravarb Technology LLC is not responsible for inaccurate allergen or ingredient information or for any reaction or harm arising from relying on it.

4. Your contributions

When you confirm a label scan, you let us store, check and show its nutrition values to other users, and use them to improve the Service, without payment. Only submit what the label actually says. Don't misuse the Service: no false data, automated scraping, attempts to get around limits, or interfering with its operation.

5. Accounts

You need an account (Apple, Google or email) to use the Service. Keep your sign-in secure. We may suspend accounts that break these Terms.

6. Premium subscriptions

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play and charged to that account. It renews at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Comparing in General mode remains free.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its design and the Nutrition Score method are ours. Open Food Facts data is available under the Open Database License; USDA data is in the public domain.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Bravarb Technology LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for decisions made using the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: admin@bravarb.com.
